Default Thoughts on 24mm Front SB verse 25mm.

I have been debating which bar to run in my ITR. I already have BOTH so it is not an option of monetary cost, even though I don't feel like swapping them out.

I currently just finished installing the JDM ITR 98 spec suspension on my itr, I have done everything except the front sway bar. I can't really decided what to do. We all know how great the itr suspension was and its fair to say that the JDM ITR was tweak just a little more. For track use would I notice any difference between the two. I realize it will be small but for those who ran mugen 26.. front and rear or just 26mm rear, etc. i would appreciate your thoughts.

1.) I want more rear end rotation, and know that the bigger front bar will effectively cause the front end to push more through the turns. I trying to build a well suited suspension that I can really learn off of and make small changed in toe, camber, caster to see how they affect handling before I increase spring rate etc.

2.) Do you think that when Honda made the changes in 98 to uprgraded both the SB bars it was because they both needed the increase or Honda was trying to cover the own *** by limiting the oversteering of the car.

Thanks,
AP.

It's only 1mm. Don't lose any sleep over it.

The JDM 98+ suspension was tweaked slightly (1mm larger swaybars front and rear + ever-so slighty heavier front springrates + more rear camber). But all things considering, the USDM ITR handles no better or worse.

Again, 1mm will not be a major influence on a front swaybar. And why did you install the JDM suspension on your ITR? Are you building up a shell or something?

When I bought it it had some worn out GC coilovers and Blown KYB struts and Function 7 LCA's that where for a base integra. I had no rear sway or trunk bar either. After searching for some Koni's I realized i would save a ton just ordering the full jdm suspension with sways, trunk bar, and itr LCA's. I was able to sell a few of the suspension parts to more than pay for my oem stuff.

No, and I know you never want used strut, but I figured OEM springs/struts would have a much better probability of being ok, then my current blown struts/coilovers. I'm not running the coilovers on the oem struts or anything it is all 100% OEM. The car looks like a 4x4 compared to how the previous owner had the tires tucking. I wanted to start with a very neutral feeling car to learn on the track with. So i was not going to pay for brand new oem struts if I will hardly put 5K on the car in the next year before I most likely upgrade to a fully adjustable system down the road.

Why do you think you will be able to tell a difference (not intending to sound rude)? It does not really help me to say you could feel a difference without telling me what the difference would/will be. The magic is in the details?

1mm, in the front, in a Type R?

I've tried the JDM front bar and didn't notice anything. I was not on stock suspension at the time, so perhaps you might slightly notice on a stock sprung car.

Otherwise, a FSB that big is just a waste as you should tune with springrates and not swaybars.
