Best ride height for drag racing?
Honda-Tech,
I was just wondering how much clearence should there be with the rear wheels. I have heard that the car should sit pretty level. I was just wondering bacause for those that have seen my car it is jacked up in the *** end and looks like $h!t. Any help is appreciated,
Thanks.

tim what suspension are you running? From what I was taught with the the right suspension ride height wouldn't matter much. You can raise it up or down without effecting performance much. Corner scaling, alignment, shock valving, and spring rate is what needs to be looked at when chassis tuning.

How would you determine what your specific ride hight would be for your car. I'm not asking for a hand out, but looking for some theory how you would go about doing it or a general rule of some sort.

im running the ksports on the coupe. nothing really "special about them but they have been working fine for me. 1.606 60ft open diff. but i cant really give credit to the ksports because ive always cut 1.6xs with whatever suspension i use. lol.
Lol.. I mean I am cutting 1.6x 60's but I think I can do better. I use to do 1.6x's all day open diff now I have a twin and LSD and it seems like it's not pulling 100%. It is prolly just driver error, but the car does sit like a monster truck and I want to lower it to something that will look good and possibly help me out.
i have Ksports and have had good luckwith 60'. But as far as rideheight. I like my car a little higherin the rear.
I did 3 stacked fingers in the front (tire to fender), and 4 stacked fingers in the rear (tire to rear fender).
^^thats me winging it. No real Science behind the decision.

If it were my car I'd look at the rules and get it at the min spec.
And Miller def meant get as much weight as close to the ground as you can... There's plenty of reasons why that can be researched.
I remember a T4 rule that stated you can only cut 1 or 2" of fender lip for tire clearance... So I added 9" and everyone thought I was nuts....now look at these 3 piece front ends with there lips not extending below the sub frame structure... Flashbacks!!
Now you guys have nearly no rules to play with in Outlaw... So much fun!!
