Default help please

I have a 2002 honda accord ex. Today I returned from a 5 day trip . I went to start the car and it was dead . As soon as I tried to charge the battery the factory alarm goes off and would not stop. I disconnected the positive side and charged the battery but the alarm would not stop when I reconnected. I appreciate any help thanks Ron

Sounds more like the dealer installed Honda security system instead of the factory installed security system. Look to see if their is a disarm/reset button on your driver's lower dash board cover. If so, while pressing the button, turn the ignition to ON.

I found the answer to the problem by researching on this site. All doors, trunk and hood need to be shut. Then you insert your key and manually lock and unlock the door twice. It worked !
