Is there hook ups in the back seats for a child seat? I want to be able to take my kid with me every now and again if I buy a type r.

The one I bought came with baby seat anchors. It's a 01. Haven't looked if they actually hook up...they're the glove box. If u need some...pay for shipping and they're yours.

You can just use the seatbelt to secure the car seat. Have you looked at the instructions that came with the seat? Many older cars did not come with any kind of seat anchor

2000-2001 use LATCH, otherwise you'd just use the seatbelt.

Can't you just strap children to a cusco cage?

You can fit a car seat in it and you can just use the seatbelt to strap it in. The passenger will have to scoot their seat up really far.

I've been using the seat belt in my 97, but i wouldnt think the rear seats to have the latches in later years.

I know in my 95 GSR there were little holes in the very rear, below the tailights(almost where the itr trunk bar would be) that where made for latching down car seats. My Type R's plastic piece is missing so I'm not sure they have them or not. Well that I my hatch wont open.

My 2000 ITR does not have the LATCH anchor points in the bottom rear seats (and I'd assume as much for the 2001).

This did not become law until 2002 I thought. However, it does have the anchor for the rear upper strap in the trunk.

I had to take my daughter to the doctor once in my R. I won't do it again. Too much work and no room for her little legs. My 01 has hook ups on the rear body. but nothing under the seat.

I put my two kids in my R and I hook the straps up to where the back seats lock in the trunk ( my poor kids lol)

Err sorry, it has the upper LATCH ones, not the bottom I guess.

<< Doesn't have kids so didn't know they were different, just remembered LATCH stuff mentioned in brochures and crap back in the day.
