EP3 axle wont go back in??
I was replacing the suspension today and while doing the front passenger side the axle overextended and once I was ready to bolt the hub back to the strut I couldn't get the hub to push back in far enough. Its like the axle popped out of place but I cant figure out how to push it back in. The passenger side is the extra long axle that compensates for the tranny being on the driver side, any help would be greatly appreciated at this point....
Same happen to me. Wat I did is first put can in gear. ( to help hold the inner part of axle. Then twist outer part of axel left and rigth. If u want know how far off u are u can feel it if u touch the inner boot part. U can feel were the grooves are and wat way u need to turn ur outer part of axel... Hope u understand
so you're refering to the passenger side right? And when you did this was the end of ur axle still bolted to the hub? Also did you hit the hub with a mallet or anything to knock it in. thanks man!
Yea passenger side. Well Wen I did it both of my axles popped out. And no don't hit it it should b pretty easy jus twist it rigth or left n push in... Press on inner boot whit ur hand n u can feel groves of the inner part of axel and ull know which way u need to torn ur outer part.. U should b able feel it
f**k it just went out and beared the cold, leaving it in gear did the trick and I got it back to slide in, in no time. Wasted so much time during the day for that. Thanks alot man, and my ep is sittin nice on my new mugen susp.
