i have a 1992 accord lx f22a1... i was driving and the car sputtered and shut off, i have replaced the coil, rotor cap, distributor cap, i have gas but no spark still, i have a volt meter and it ohms out saying their is power... i dont know if that matters, but took off the cap and turned the engine over no spark, put a screw driver in the coil plug and no spark and even put my finger in the coil plug and turned it over still nothing.. so im out of ideas maybe a bad computer?

 

Are you sure all the spark plug wires, ignition coil, etc are plugged in securely and making a good connection?

Did you try changing the spark plug wires? Are the wire harnesses connected securely on the distributor and coil?

Don't start sticking fingers in plugs, etc. Thats crazy, man! lol

 

lol but that a good way to test if theirs spark, but yes all connections are good and wires are like 3 weeks old and coil was bought yesterday along with the cap, rotor but there is no spark from the harness to the coil, it ohms but like i said i put my finger in it and nothing happened so i was thinking distributor or ecm or icm.... pm sent

 

Did you test the ignitor?

it ohms out but thats about all i know how to test it i also tried the ignition switch by white wire to black/yellow but wasn't that

 

alright i looked at the ignitor again and their was a bad connection on one of the plug in fixed it didnt work and bought a new one and it fixed it thanks again every one

 

well it cranks now but took it for a test drive and rpms are going crazy going to take the ignitor out and make sure the bolts are tight
