motor isnt put together right now waiting on a few things i estimate somewhere in the ball park of 240 - 260 on pump .. at least thats what im told
the motor is stroaked to almost a 2.0 with a ls crank in a b18c1 block
the car is a ex with rear section is gutted carpet passenger seat ac/cc gone ... added a roll bar not sure what she weighs right now havent made it to the scales .. like i said im fresh into the world of drag racing .. so please bare with me... learning little by little

ok first off, this doesnt really deam it stroked, to put a ls crank in gsr (technically it is) you go from a 1797 to 1834 of physical size so its a still a 1.8 (as you said your still using 81mm pistons) granted it is physically bigger then gsr, so u can get a little more torque then gsr, when the two are compared when they are internally equal not even close to a 2.0 (would need to go to 84mm to be a 2.0)
car prob still weighs 2400ish give or take, figure stock head, stock bore, may make 200whp w/ all the bolt ons, give or take
that would make this a 13s car at best, in my eyes. this is a very general guess with everything

if it means anything evans tuning suposingly built the motor and tuned it then the previous own threw it in a crx but never tracked it... evan knows what hes doing when it comes to building motors ... there has to be a reason he knife edged and balanced a ls crank and put eagle h beam rods with wisco 12.5.1 pistons...
specs on the motor is up in post #3 the head isnt stock ... but i see where you are coming from with this.. any more input?
what whould you all do differently... ( i want to stay n/a)
your input in greatly welcome! thank you guy

the best i can tell ya, get it together, into a car, tuned and go race, go learn, POWER is not everything. You will learn alot by trial and error, and practice driving
knife edge crank, takes away some weight, helps with rotational mass, also when done properly suppose to help get oil were needed without slowing down motor alot
and any time you build a motor, its a good idea to balance, not a must but does not hurt anything
hope this helps

thank you!... motor aside , how whould you build the chasis? like i said im new and whould like to see what different setups people whould run
i would say get it on the track and give yourself some seat time. work on your 60ft, shifting, and so on. try to get the most out of your setup that you can. i can see high
12's with that set up.

I don't see 11's with the setup, like stated before, 12's should be achievable but other things will come into play, like the driver, suspension and ect...
Yeah i dont see 11's either. A guy on another forum with a stock stroke big bore (92mm) SR20VE with slightly worked head, custom Franklin cams, perfectly geared trans, made 270whp, 191wtq making power all the way to 9600 rpms and the motor is in a 2150 lb B13 SE-R and he is going 11.6 consistently @ 116-117mph with a crazy 1.61 60ft. So yeah i doubt on still a 1.8L in a heavier car you will go into the 11's.
With the setup your listing id say difficult to even reach 12's unless your in a really light chassis and again being your new to it i would say after a lot of seat time at the track.
The same guy i was talking about when he was on a fully bolted on ve w/ custom cam making 215whp was running 12.7-12.8 again in a 2150 lb car.
Anyways get some seat time, thats all you can do. Experience goes a long ways. Trust me, ive been drag racing since i was 18, you learn by experience not bench numbers. Bench racing off of what others have done with similar setups is all fine and good but in the end it comes down to your specific setup and driving skills.

Put it in a gutted eg chassis
If your goal is only 11's why spend money on a cage u can go as fast as 11.50.
Slicks and weight reduction with your current set up in the right chassis could get u in the 12's
I had a stock Itr motor with cams in a totally gutted eg hatch. 20xx lbs with me in it
12.50's @ 105 mph
No real dyno tune and only dyno'd at an event at a dyne challenge they offered at the time. 176 hp to the wheel

I think the bore is going to kill you on the set up really. I think you could run some decent numbers though. Who is tuning it and how much power did it make on the old tune that last guy had on it?

the roll bar is free to make .. well for me it is.. (work at a machine shop and has access to welder and steel tubes)
define totally gutted please sir?
im going to have evans tuning.. suposingly on s300 the motor made 265whp with 255 walbro and 93 pump gas .. and 191whp on stock pump .. sounds fishy if you ask me
and a 81mm bore motor with a LS crank wont get anywhere near 240 - 260 on pump.
