I just started having fuel problems in my hatch about a month ago.
It's a 1991 with a 97 l s motor.
It never cranks over right away it takes about 10 minutes I have to constantly pump the gas for it to start.
And it never stays running I have to rev it for about another 10 minutes.
And the whole time that I'm doing this all you smell is strong gas fumes.
Can anyone please give me an idea of what it might be?

you are pumping gas the entire time, ask yourself why it smells like gas..

 

Even when I am just driving down the road that is all you smell.

 

try Engine Air Flow Intake Cleaner Spray Can? if im not mistaken.

sounds to me like you're losing fuel pressure.
