battery tie down ?
Man I feel your frustration, I have a 91' CRX and when I bought my car it had nothing but a bungee cord over the battery. My intention is to do the battery relocation, behind the seats.
If you do find a good tiedown please post here with pics. I'm interested to see what it will look like.
Here is my car you can see battery but no tiedown. Troubling seeing how close the positive battery terminal is to the metal tube of the air intake.

this is what ibe seen people do. its pretty easy. go to the junkyard and u can find them laying around lol. but if u wan amake them look pretty just go to a local machine shop. get a trash peice of aluminum and make sure that it is the same size as ur batt. then get some long bolts and then drill holes in the aluminum pieces then put a nut on the long bolt to hold it down. then u can paint it the same color as ur valve cover, lol. just make sure that ur new tie down doent touch ur batt terminals cuz that would be bad

so do you have any trannys for sale ?
the stock battery placement is probably the worst design.
theres really not another option tho. youre stuck using the diagonal tie down to trap the far corner.
you CAN use a del sol battery. its exactly the same as the crx but the terminals are closer to the engine. this allows you to run a flat bar across the top. excep thers not much gap between the stock intake arm and the corner of the battery.
mounting the tiny aftermarket batteries on a lower shelf closer to the tranny is probably the most functional and beneficial change you could do regarding the battery. looks cooler too, than some shiny colored billet piece...
