Need help!!
i got a built gsr built with with a type r ecu. everything was working the way it should when i bought the car accept the tachometer would go crazy when hit vtec. but i was still able to feel the timing of my redline out and be able to shift at the right time. only things that i changed since was new spark plugs gaped at .50 and did a oil change to mobile 1 synthetic 10w30. i have this problem where i seems like im pushing passed redline at 6500rpm 7000rpm (like it feels like the motor will blow if i keep pushing it and it makes a clunk sound). people said that it could be a ecu problem. other people say it could be my dizzy. i'm going to borrow a friends dizzy to test it out. and probably test with the gsr ecu too. what do you guys think the problem may be? thanks in advance

alright so i just went for a drive and i have a good feeling its dizzy because my car died right before i hit vtec in 3rd gear. check engine light came on. i pulled over and was able start it up like normal and no check engine light after. so i only get problems when i try to smash. i was also in neutral at a stop light and it seems like the rev limiter is activating at 6000ish... so i guess somethings up with the rev limiter to?
its a 96. and i didn't check the CEL code but its not on anymore. it was only on when my car died out. earlier i was just driving and my car was just about to shut off but it saved itself. i was in 5th gear going 40ish so the Tach read 2000 rpm. suddenly it dropped all the way to like 500ish but then went back up 2000 like it saved itself from dying
