Default Introducing myself and my PhucYu ITR

Hi everyone,
I've been using this forum for years but haven't had the time until now to sit down and contribute. I've been building FI hondas since the late 90's and spent the majority of the past drag racing. I'm a firm believer in going fast reliably and know the importance of steering and stopping as well. I've gotten the itch to road race and came across a theft recovery. I purchased her and went through months on insanity but she's back on the road.

I'm also going to show a few pictures of my 2001 GSR while I'm at it...440whp on pump gas wasn't enough HP when my a/c was blasting so I tore her down for bigger and better things. Once she's back together I'll line them up.

I don't want to take up much space with the GSR in an ITR forum but here's a little rundown.. I'll post a thread for it under the integra section once it's making passes again and I'll really go into detail
bottom end: stock block JE pistons,Eagle 1.9 stroker kit(rods/crank)
Head:Full Ferrea valvetrain w/ pro1 camshafts, sk2 intake
Turbo:Full-Race A/C kit, injector dynamics 1000cc's,garrett 60trim,3" mandrel bent exhaust etc..tuned on hondata s300
Trans:GSR w/coated synchro's MFactory diff, driveshaft shop 2.9axles CC stage 5 clutch assembly
suspension: progress tech one piece coilovers, spherical bearings everywhere, full-race traction bar

It's been a turbocharged car since 2001 and it's still got the original engine/transmission vins in it, that should say something about how she's cared for

The engine ground was moved since the picture, I wasn't paying attention after pulling engines three times in a week and I'm saving up for a lip/paint job. I know she's got a long way to go but I'm happy.

Good call on realizing the rarity of the 01 silver GSR!!

I need to do a search on actual numbers produced/sold, I'd be interested in knowing how many were actually made

It's by far the brightest car I've ever owned!! It's a love/hate relationship, I LOVE driving, I HATE stopping anywhere. I can't even get gas without someone coming over and asking dumb questions...

I know the feeling. I've had some pretty ignorant ones ask of me also like, how did you get that thing imported?....by a WRX owner. Who painted it? How fast have you had it? And on and on and on!

turbo + ac = win!

i'm curious, what all was missing from your 'R ? i think it's cool that u left the ac in both cars.

Any caR I have that's street driven will retain the A/C! Live through an Alabama summer and you'll know what I mean. A/C + boost is a sure win in my book.

The ITR was considered a total strip but all the body panels match and the dash wasn't stolen which was lucky for me with everything I went through to get it inspected.
