is honda cooling system WRONG?
I have a 88 crx with a JDM b16. Purchased with blown head. Fixed and installed dual core aluminum radiator and dual high performance fans. The cooling system will cool all the way down to 160f. with the fans on,. If I put a thermostate in the temp rans up and up 200-->210-->220f. . this is when I cut the motor off. I have 3 branew thermostates all open at 170f. . I have removed and installed all 3 thermostates and all have the same result. I am now running my belovid b16 with no thermostate. I want the motor to run between 180f. and 200f. . Please help me any ideas will help?
i highly doubt the cooling system is wrong. alot of time goes into designing and building a car. its kinda hard to understand what your talking about. your saying the fans cool it down but then it gets too hot? maybe your fan switch isnt working?
likely water pump or you are not getting all the air out of the water system.
2nd guess
Its tuned/running/exhaust clogged so bad it is causeing heat.
Are you parked on a wicked down sloap?
Thats my 2 cents without more info

PROBLEM FIXED THANK ALL OF YOU.
I drilled 3 little holes in thermostat, Motor runs **** and temp is 180-200 f.
I belive this helped b/c it alows small amount of flow allowing hot coolant comeing out of the motor to travel through radiator to thermostat "faster?"
