Do you prefer a high reving NA motor that is streetable or a higher maintenence boost motor that makes a fair amount of power? Your pretty much asking should I bang the hot blonde or the hot brunette.. its all preference.

To OP: You should really learn to read the rules + search. New threads like this are made everyday.

Yes, keep it NA. Even though a boosted car is really fun and rapes on higher end cars, you lose a lot of driveability. I built my car for boost, then decided I wanted a more streetable quick car that I could drive everyday which is why I traded all my boost parts for a JDM ITR motor.

fv8s is just calling them as he sees em. lol. Really it's about what you want. Budget, power goals etc... Is it a stock ls/v or fully built ls/v or Stock internal ls turbo or built turbo motor. Which ever setup you think is the "better" to fit your needs is the what you should go with.

You must have done something wrong. How do you "lose a lot of driveability" with a turbo setup? LMAO

haha. I think he meant reliability. If you have a solid setup with good parts and a good tune then the car should be reliable.

You've obviously never driven anything with over 6 pounds of boost then....

Because the amount of boost at WOT has to do with the driveability of the car during stop and go traffic. And yes I've driven 6+psi car.

A turbo setup can be just as reliable as a non turbo setup as long as the build is correctly done. Like I said, guy must have done something wrong.

Like stated I have a eg hatch at 447@whp and its my daily driver. The major key is the builder and the tuner..if your gonna take "time" to do this then take the "time" to do it right the first time and to make sure you have the car tuned and be sure to tell the tuner that you want the set up for fun and also tell him you drive this car everyday and to make it as street friendy as possible...you can have a quick fun street friendly car semi cheap and remember having a good tune is the most important key..it will keep your motor live longer...remember its your everyday car!
