Let this be your guide, in the future, search the "FAQ" at the top of the forum threads list

You can use the b16 crank . . . but good luck running the car lol according to the compression calculator with that setup you would have 5.51:1 compression, thats not enough to start the car. The thing that makes ls/vtec appealing is the 89mm stroke of the crank compared to a gsr's 87.2mm, or a b16's 77.4mm stroke. The b16 deck height is shorter than a b18 because the stroke is smaller and so are the rods, so by using a b16 crank and rods in a ls or gsr block, the pistons wont come up enough in the cylinders to compress anything. With a ls crank you use ls rods and a b16 crank you use b16 rods. With the ls crank, and everything else the same in your setup you will have 11.66:1, much more streetable lol I would suggest getting the p30 pistons btw cause they go right onto the ls rods with no machining, with the p73pistons you have to shave part of the rod, and I think the wrist pin sits higher in the p73's making less compression than the p30's or if you want less compression use the pr3's, they also dont require machining, just some food for thought.

Heres a link to a good source for detailed info on how to build an ls/vtec and some basic fundamentals, probably the most useful thread on Honda-Tech I have ever read.

why in the world would you consider putting a b16 crank in an LS? you do realize that the B16 stroke is smaller than an LS I hope.
