noob question about hp and tq gain
i have a da integra, its suppose to have 130hp and 121tq stock but after reasearching i found that on the dyno it gets 118hp and 110tq. so knowing that, has anyone actually dynoed to see how much hp and tq you get adding a cai and a cat back exhaust?
when you look at engine specs on wikipedia or whatever, youre normally seeing the bhp (brake horsepower) or the horsepower the engine make at the crank. whp, what you see on the dyno is measured at the wheels. you lose hp from the crank to the wheels (more parts turning) which is why its lower.
The reality is, 2 - 5 whp from these bolt on mods, or 10 - 25 whp from these mods and a tune, depending on the exhaust used. It's the tune that benefits the most, not the bolt on parts.
