Default 97 vs 98 brake booster and master

Well the master sure as hell is different. The mounting points are diagonal on the 97 where is the 98 is horizontal. I assume the boosters are different too but when you go to order an Acura part it shows the same one for 97 and 98. Advance Auto was being stupid and said theres no 97 ITR. So they ordered a 98. Well guess what the booster mounting points are for the other master, I have the 97 master. I would have to re-do my brake lines. What do I do?

And Napa shows no love for the ITR. Theres 2 different brake boosters. One for an LS, GS, and GSR (ABS obviously) and a slightly thinner RS (non ABS). Well is the ITR booster different and size compared to the LS, GS, GSR? I need to order a booster ASAP for a 97 ITR. Ive considered converting to the 98 just because this is a PITA to track down the parts.

WTF Autozone has a GSR and ITR listed. GSR is $179.99. ITR is $388.39. Please tell me its the same for booster lol. Like the time I went there for an alternator they said they couldnt order a Type R one and that I would have to get it from Japan. But they sell a GSR or B16 Civic SI one.

Different part numbers on Acura but both say 8" + 9"

ITR
46400-S47-J51 POWER ASSY., MASTER (8+9)

GSR
46400-SM4-951 POWER ASSY., MASTER (8 in.+9 in.)

Will it work? As long as its the same mounting and depth for $208 I could care less if I have to push the slightest bit harder to brake.

^^^ That's strange, I was always under the assumption that the ITR alt. was different (Mitsubishi) because that was a big deal when getting the correct stepper pulley for a SC. Who knows, maybe I've been wrong all along.

so then it comes down to what's factory correct and what works. if some usdm itr's used a special alt, it's probably more spendy than the more common denso
