Default Can I resuse the Head gasket if tq'ed down for couple days, but never ran?

I'm thinking about tearing my block down again to have it honed. I put it all together by just lightly sanding the cylinders with some 400 grit paper. But now I'm thinking with the 12:1 it would be a good idea to just take it and have it honed, then replace all the bearings. So my question is, I've torqued the head down about 4-5 days ago and it has definently never ran, so can I resuse the gasket or do I need a new one since it has been torqued? Also how much does it usually cost to hone a block? Hopefully <$50-$60. Also how much do bearings cost? Isn't there a honda dealer on here that has good prices, Naples I think?

BTW, this is also in the hybrid forum, but I thought I was posting in the Tech forum when I did it

ure not supposed to reuse a gasket once it has been used cuz its already been compressed once..once u take it off and torque it again it wont compress the same way it wont evenly seal..however ive reused my headgasket a few times and i havent had any problems. ive sprayed copper on em each time i reused em tho and they hold up fine.

Yeah, I heard many have used copper spray on their Honda head gaskets, but I was told that copper spray is not for gaskets made out of aluminum or whatever our Honda head gaskets are made out of. You can give it a shot though, but I'd get a new gasket and save any future problems.

That's the rule. I've removed my head 4x since I got my current teg. Replaced it once. I'm all for playing it safe, but I don't like to throw away money either.

thats funny because the guy at portflow actually recommends using the center layer over and the copper spray. go figure.

That will raise your compression. A whole different ball of wax.
