which brake lines to get? choose by caliper or by car?
so when getting ss brake lines do I buy it based on the car or the caliper I'm using?
for example in the front I use stock ef sometimes & also ITR calipers on road racing.

sorry for the dumb question.

Awesome.

I am in the same boat. I have an EF sedan with Legend front calipers and EP3 rear calipers. I plan on buying CRX si lines and hope they work out.

as far as the fronts go, unless you have calipers that have a different size thread on the caliper where the line goes in, which you shouldn't for anything honda; then it will all be the same, from the wheel well, where the brake line comes in, to where it loops around and is bolted to the spindle, is the same distance for sedan, dx, std, si, hf, and otherwise.
so for running discs all the way around, crx si or DA integra ss braided brakes lines will work for civic hatches, sedans, crxs, and DA integras all alike.
i should explain my set up then:
Front 90-91 EX front suspension (same brake set up as DA pads, rotors and calipers)
Rear 90 LS rear suspension
this is why i went with 90-93 SS brake lines. i chose Russel because they fit perfectly, DOT approved a +, and they have adjustable tabs to bolt into the oem spots.

DA lines are a tad longer in the front compared to civic lines. Side note, my front lines fit type R calipers as well... My car IS a real EX, I have no issues.
I have 91 da calipers that I am installing on my 91 hatch I'm leaning toward the goodridge ss lines. Will they bolt up if I get the ones for a 91 crx w/ rear discs?
I put DA calipers and rear discs on my 89 hatch. I also used Goodridge lines and bought the "CRX w/rear disc" set.
If you get the regular CRX set, the fittings will not work because the drums use a threaded end and the discs use a banjo bolt.

Goodridge ss. I have that DA set-up on my EF and it works great. They should bolt right up no issues. Only issue is the line may run a little longer but I think it's because they use the same line for all types of Hondas
Ok thanks Jdmhonda. I know we were talking about lines however since you have a DA setup as well. I'm unsure if i need to swap the hub from the DA to my hatch or can the existing hub be used? In other words I don't want to swap the whole trailing arm I just want to replace the bushings and the LCA's.
I know that a lot of EF and DA parts are interchangeable but I'm not sure about that one. There might be thread in here that can help you with that.
No problem,I did some more searching and I found the answer. If I don't want to change trailing arms as the DA and EF are both the same, I can just swap the spindles by removing the torx bolts and the 24mm nut and bolt the discs right on. If this is inaccurate please correct me.
Have fun with those Torx bolts. They aren't the easiest things to break loose, and you have a high probability of stripping at least 1 if not two or more.
I ordered a set for a '91 CRX Si when I did my DA front knuckle swap. They fit just fine.

Well I already got the spindles off the DA Trailing Arms. I used a gas torch and heated them up real good then took the impact wrench to them and I was able to get them all out. The doaner DA was very rusty as my hatch is in pretty decent shape.I'm sure I'll have a little trouble though. It wont matter if i strip any of the drum ones anyways right?
As long as you can still get the left over pieces out of the trailing arm, no.
You might look into replacing them with regular hex-headed bolts. Probably not a big deal if you don't, though.
