Default can the Tokico blues take 2" drop?

I heard 1.5" is the max. drop suggested for this struts. Is that true?

I wouldn't recommend Tokico HP's to my worst enemy. They are horrible at stock height and even worse when lowered on stiff springs. Save up for Koni Yellow's or Tokico Adjustables.

Do yourself a favor and go with the KYB AGX setup, you won't regret it.

mine is lowered about 1.75". It's the tokico package or something like that. Came with the car. I've put 50K miles on it and they're still good. I'm careful to avoid bumps, etc.

I will be replacing them w/AGX's when the time comes.

I've got tokico blues with some H&R race springs (about a 2 inch drop all around) and they've been running just fine for me. some people say that the blues are a crappy strut, but tokicos come packaged stock on some cars and you have to have to make a dependable product to do that. some people also say that they're too soft of a strut for stiff springs...but i feel like mine are a perfect match with my H&Rs.

It's probably the max for most street shocks/struts available out there. U need short stroked shocks/struts to have enough suspension travel. Most of the dampers out there are not short stroked. Even some lower model's JDM brand coilovers.

i have tokico blues too, but i wouldnt even know if it was blown out or not. how do you know anyways? well before i bought it the guy asked me if what kindve springs i have because he said there were alot of people that have bought tokico blues and blown them out within weeks. but i accidently said i have nuespeed sport springs (which is a 1.50 drop) when my springs were really nuespeed race (2.00 drop) but i dont think it has blown out yet. all in all i think it was a waste of money to buy shocks. barely made a ride difference.

I have friends that ran Tokico blues cuz they couldn't afford anything else coupled w/ either Eibach sportline or H&R sports and in about 2 yrs or 40K (diff friends cars) they all blew out...

I would save up for Koni Yellows (thats what I have w/ Eibach sportlines) or Bilsteins... or Tokico Illuminas...

KYB AGX is a good shock.. but w/ 2" drop your warranty will be voided....

Ok guys, I decided to go with KYB and was about to order, but can't find them for a 2nd gen. teg??!!!?? So I was going to order Bilstein and same thing. Does anyone know if Bilstein or KYB make struts for 2nd gen. teg?

I guess I'll just skip the struts and run the springs by themself with no struts.
