My tuner suggested getting an ACT stage 2 or 3 clutch for my setup because the clutch was slipping a lot in the higher rpms. After checking out ACT's clutch line, I realized they don't have it in simple terms of stage 1,2,3. I don't understand the differences in their clutches. What would be good for my application with some room to grow?
they rate their clutches in % more ft lbs of torque than stock. for example a stock clutch holds 140 ft lbs of torque (which would be 100%), a Stage 5 clutch/ twin disc someone offers would be 300%. 140x 3 (420 ft lbs)
Id imagine an ACT steet disk with a HD pressure plate would hold 300whp just fine.
Im using a competition clutch stage 5, however that is overkill for your setup haha, look into the stage 4.
Contrary to popular belief, these clutches are really streetable, and easy on the wallet without having to sacrifice reliability and performance.

im using a competition stage 5 clutch with stock flywheel on my stock b18c type r turbo setup made 325hp on 9lbs and it seems to do just fine. i would def recommend competiton clutch stage 4 or 5 and there flywheel

well if you put it that way then you might as well get a twin disk better safe than sorry right?
stage 4 should have less chatter than stage 5, so driving it around would be a lot easier, that and you wont need the stiffness of having a heavy duty pressure plate.
CC clutches can usually be had for less than $400
