And I wouldn't pay $5K for a RHD ITR. Well, maybe I would to part it out, but that's about it.
LHD USDM ITR though and it would be a different story.

Totally not worth it. There's a local one here thats kind of registered going for 12k. Kid has been selling it for months with no bites.
i don't think they are worth more than 7-8k personally. they are an illegal car that's basically worth parts value.
front clip $4500
recaros $800-1000
big 4 suspension with bars $500
wheels $500
everything else >??
parts alone make them worth 6.5, so, over that is all up to the buyer

18k is asking a lot for a '96 spec but I think it's worth a little more then what everyone in here is saying. How is it an illegal car? Everyone I know with a JDM ITR has it legitimately registered and insured.
The NHTSA/EPA/DOT have never issued a document number for a Honda Integra (Type-R or otherwise). That means that every JDM ITR in the U.S. is by the letter of the law, illegal. Remember, Federal Law trumps State Law, so even if a car is titled through the state, it can still be Federally illegal.

The guy is probally just throwing a price out there knowing people on craigs list its the home of bargin shoppers. Id say he is looking for like 14k just over priced it so he has big window for dealing with those craig's list shoppers. either way i wish the guy best of luck just wondering if its really street legal I know it takes alot of BS to get those things legal. That may be why he is asking so much for it.
There are no 100% legal JDM ITR's in the U.S.
There are a few State titled JDM ITR's around, this allows you to get a VIN and get insured, but there are no DOT/EPA/NHTSA approved JDM ITR's.
Federal Law > State Law.
Actually doesnt even get you a U.S. vin number. Its registered with the 10 digit japanese vin. Either way they're all illegal anyway, and the funny thing is that most people are clueless about that fact.
