Default Headlight - Hood gap JDM Front end

I did a search and couldn't really find anything on the topic. Everything was for getting the bumper to line up.

I Got my JDM front end installed, and I hope to take it to the paint shop this week, but I want to get it lined up perfectly.

My driver side gap is larger than my passenger side gap between the bumper filler, headlights and hood. I have tried bending the hood to make it look nice, but no luck. I don't really want to take a hammer to the hood unless I really have to.

I did find some body damage to the hood when I stripped it down to metal. There was a lot of bondo right on the very front bend of it.

Is it possible my body isn't strait? My driver side tire is a little low, thats why the car looks like its sagging.

it could be possible that the little rubber pegs(to lift the hood or lower the hood) on the corners are maxed out so the hood beefs up at the headlights. but please!! dont bend the hood. just screw them in so the let the hood close more

We were able to line up my friends ef9 front end with washers and doing a little pulling of the radiator support after he was in a small crash that lead to a bent radiator support. What i may suggest is trying to get some rags and remove the headlights and pull the radiator support at the headlight bucket upwards to pull the headlight up. slight tugs should do the work. It is very easy to slot out the holes in the filler piece and jdm bumper bracket to pull the parts up.

My friend had a problem with the headlights being too far up and running into the hood, so we used washers to drop the headlight down by mm.

Also what else to look into is the bumper, might be that the bumper is warped right underneath the headlight. its easy to push it back up into the right place because of the lightweight jdm bracket.

and by looks of the pics the drivers side headlight is pushed in. you might need to slot out the radiator support to push the headlight a bit forward.

im giving a few tips on how we fixed my friends gapping problems, more than likely your core support might be bent.

I messed with those rubber things and that actually helped even out the hood a lot!..Good stuff. The bumper isn't warped under the headlight. It just looks weird in the picture. Looks okay other wise.

i will give your other advice some consideration on another day after I get it painted. I did have a pretty bad accident hopping a curb and Im guessing that is where the majority of the sagging comes from thinking about it. I might just take it to a body shop and have them look at it and bend the frame back into place.
