So these pictures aren't that great (iPhone and a cramped garage) .. but my 75 year old multi-millionaire landlord has a few bikes and he knows I'm into bikes so he brought me over to check out his ..... a Ducati Troy Bayliss edition (500 made) 1098R.

Ugh. Such a gorgeous bike and so light.







Best part of it is that he said I could ride it. He wants me to go to a track day with him, but I don't have the time or money (or proper gear). But definitely looking forward to riding the bike and I couldn't be in a better area to do it, in the foothills of the Sierra mountains.

So ya, pics aren't the best, but enjoy anyways.

yeaa! He gave me some Nicky Hayden signs too from Laguna Seca when Nicky won it.

But ya, this guy is loaded as you can tell .. and I can't wait to get on it. Not a bad way to spend $50,000. He said he went into the dealership to get a cheaper $14,000 model and he walked out with this. Must be nice..

It's a Boxster on top .. his wife's car. Though they don't daily drive any of these. She drives a Prius or something daily lol. The roads around here are unbelievable though, would be so fun in these cars.

I'm not sure what the bike in back is, but it's a Ducati also. He said if my bike wasn't fixed yet (replacing radiator and what not), we could take both bikes out and switch off riding the 1098R. Umm .. yup!

Ugh. I want it. He said it came with two exhausts, one for the street and one for the track, which you can put silencers into. The track one is on now .. which he said they won't let him use at Laguna on track days lol. This bike sounds so ****ing mean though.

not everyone has 80k to blow on a bike, the 1098r is top of the line italian, the desmo is a little overzealous, even for ducati
