MY CIVIC 1200 BUILD THREAD
finally, the weather is right
how the 1200 had been sitting for 15 years..
getting her out
OHAI LIL guy!
threw on the panasports to bring the car in to take out the bad motor
took the engine that was on the side of the house apart and took it to get tanked, get the valve guides on the head done, radiied the crank, and a whole bunch of goodies, new gaskets, bearings, timing belt, rings, etc..
before i took all the lights and stuff off the body panels, need to baang out the front drivers side fender and lower garnish
i want to find a set of the all red tail-lights
casting flash, no bueno..
cleaning all that up
going to go with a single sidedraft, here's the IM im going to use, going to polish it out

im going to stay n/a for now, but i can dream :p
ill update as i can. im still cleaning up the block, there is tons of casting flash... and its a PITA to rid it... then im going to compl,etly assemble the engine, then work on the engine bay, then the body and interior

yes!!
other design plans are to convert all incandescents to LEDs and do a retrofit on the headlights, but thats waaayyy later haha, needs to drive first!
also have a racecar 1200, might participate in an 8hr endurance race in the near future woot!

well this project feels like its going to take forever :/ im still working on the flash on the block and crank girtle, making it nice and smooth before i assemble the engine...
on a side note i power-washed the engine bay and have tenitavely decided on the color for the bay, thanks to my amigo civic_ceze..

altho its not me, I think its really cool when people bring back these classic hondas or any old school car and then just make these things beast. Keep it up
