Default O2 sensor problem with dc headers

ok so i put some dc headers on my a6 and the location of the o2 sensor is way different from the stock manifold. Now i was told that it affects the o2 sensor, so i want to know if i can get a set of carb legal headers that have the stock placement for the o2 sensor? Or a heated o2 sensor that will work for obd0 d series? i really dont want to weld a nut for it really cuz the headers are bent and ****, so if there is another pair thats carb legal and for a ed6 let me know.

The DC is carb legal as far as I know.
Did you get a bad smog report?
Did you try a new O2 sensor?
Did you solder the O2 sensor wire to be longer?

It does matter somewhat. The o2 sensors on efs are closer to the head because they don't have heaters on them.

On obd-1 and newer hondas the o2 sensor location is farther because they have a heater on them.

This means, on your obd 0 1 wire o2 sensor, at idle there will be times when your car will come out of closed loop because the sensor is not hot enough. Wont' affect the car much. But for smog, make sure the car is warmed up when you show up. Just extend the one wire. That's it.
