I am haveing an idle problem I have a 93 delsol with a newly swapped 5 spd 97 D16y7 engine in it. Now when i turn the car on an put it in nuetral the idle fluxuates it will go from 1500rpm to 2500-3000rpm then back down an it will just continually do that untill i start to drive but while it is idleing or while i have the clutch down at a stop light or sign it fluxs can anyone help me with this problem.

 

Is the D16Y7 stock with stock head, IM, and TB? Any CEL codes?

Yeah did you reuse your stock intake and exhaust manifolds?

 

i used the intake mani an exhaust mani off the d15.

 

Check for a disconnected vacuum hose and a leaking throttle body or intake manifold gasket.
