alright so i just bought a 2000 civic si. its got a B18C with VTEC and its also has a turbo. I was going around a corner doin about 20-25 mph and it just threw a CEL and died. It turns over and will start to fire but will not completely start. It has enough spark and its getting enough fuel pressure and the timing is perfect. guessing its something with how the ECM is programed. anyone have any ideas?

 

What's the CEL code(s)?

Have you compression tested the cylinders?

 

idk...i cant get it to start so i cant pull the code...but i rember it turned on right as it died

 

The engine does not need to start to pull the code. Try jumping the service connector.

 

ill have to try that. i dont have the car with me right now its at the shop. would i jump it pretty much the same way i would OBD1 connecter?
