so the last week my crx has been randomly shutting off. Today It would fire up everytime and then shut off. I found that it has to do with the ignition.

If i start the car up and hold clockwise pressure on the key it will run fine. As soon as i let the key go to the run position ( the position that the key springs to right after you start the car) the engine shuts off. So now i am driving around with a bungie cord on the key and the other side attached to the passanger side door.

HELP.... so ghetto I am afraid this will stop working and the car wont run at all.

 

well replace the ignition switch then genious

 

Odds are your ignition is worn out. Take off the column plastics and see if the white switch part is loose 2 screws. Most likely it is just toast. It happens. My guess as I am an amazing mind reader that your ebrake doesnt work so you shut off your car everywhere you go so you can put it into gear to hold it still. Well now you need a new ignition and to fix yer brake.
