Im looking for some help from someone who has a 99 2000 civic SI trim with a B16A2 only from a car that resides in the U.S. I am in canada and I have a SIR model which is the same as U.S SI trim. My question is on the clutch master cylinder the clutch line that goes into the clutch master is it a 3/16 line or a 1/4 line could someone take a look under their hood. I need to know this because I ordered a new line from a U.S honda dealer and it is 3/16. my car on the clutch master takes a 1/4 line and the fitting is bigger than a 3/16 lines fitting. Could someone just take a look and tell me if the U.S SI has a 3/16 or 1/4 line Im very confused. thanks all

 

I went to Pep Boys and picked up a 30" long 3/16th brake line with m10x1.0 fittings on each end for $4.99. I then went to Autozone and got a loaner brake tube bender for free (after return).

This was in a 96 CX with an ITR master cyinder. They are all the same.

 

Im guessing the canadian trim takes different fittings them Hmm what a **** off

 

I'm sorry, I can't read.....I was talking about the brake lines and you said clutch lines. DOH!

 

The Canadian SiR is not exactly the same as the US model Si....couple differences.

- the SiR has ABS, so a few parts with the brakes are different
- It also has heated mirrors

 

could ya check 4 me what size line goes into the clutch master bro?

 

This wouldn't surprise me, OP. I've seen different part numbers listed for a MC on a 92-95 Civic. Bit of a **** off because the one for Canadian models is $30 more.

Here's what I mean. Note that one MC is noted for use on "Canada", the other is for "Except Canada", and is cheaper (likely due to low demand).
