how much power does it take to keep up with or beat a bike from 600s to 1000s,I know the answer to this has lots of factors but its something i have been wanting to know and any input would be helpful.

 

The bikes benefit from craxy power to weight ratio, you will have to do the same. Many variables play into it, but information to asses the task is key..

-this a rolling start situation?

Even a 600 is going to pull anywhere from a low 12 to low 11 1/4 time so you'd have to get your car there power wise...

I'm putting down 600+ I have no problem with bikes..

Depends on what you are talking about, bikes are much faster in a drag, but cars corner much better. I think Top Gear races an Ariel Atom vs a 600RR and the bike just couldn't corner as fast.

my car is gutted to just the bare shell of a dash no heater box nothing just 2 seats a fuel cell and a battery box im building a mild ls turbo setup im looking to put down around 300 to 350whp and my car is gonna be so light i know with the right suspension setup i can get this thing to hook up on street slicks. i am also tryin to hang wit bikes when im done wit it in spring so good luck on ur build

 

modern 600's are mid/high 10 second bikes and most 1000's are high 9/low 10s.

so if you want a real race, not fooling around on the highway, id think you need atleast 500whp and slicks to have a chance.

my car is a 91 dx hatch gutted puttin down 340whp and my buddy wants to race his stock 09 gsxr 1000 on the highway, i just wanted to know how bad i would lose to his bike because i know i cant beat it and if my car might keep up with a 600 on the highway. i would like to buy your bike but im to stupid on one and know that i want be on earth much longer if i buy one
