people i need your advise, should i get a 4.7 fd or a 4.4 f/d for my gsr tranny? and if you guys say the 4.4 fd is better where can i get one, remember this is going for my gsr turbo lmk peeps cons/pros

 

4.4fd let you stay in 4th gear at the strip

 

Stock GSR final drive is 4.44

For forced induction, you want lower final drive ratios, not higher.
For NA, the 4.7 and 4.9 would work great.

 

The stock GSR tranny is the best to use when it comes to turbo. Maybe some coating on the synchros and to strengthen but thats it. The gearing is perfect, and more research on your part in the Forced Induction forum would show that.

 

WOW, i didnt even know that a gsr tranny have the 4.4 fd ....thanks, i kinda wanted to build my tranny as well because my block is done and ready to boost but then again thanks all ya..

in case of future use for n/a application lol....duno know, i seen some people that have it and been very good so i kinda wanted to know for myself
