Clutch still slips after 3rd disc and 2nd gearbox, WTF??
As it states, I am having issues with my clutch slipping after having replaced the clutch disc twice, using a new flywheel and PP, then having to replace the gearbox due to inner shaft bearing leakage (yes I changed the clutch during that gearbox change as well). I have adjusted my clutch so its just off of the floor before it starts to grab, so I am not overstressing my throw out bearing.
The clutch grabs strong and hard for a good while, but after I drive around in some stop n' go traffic, it begins to slip a little. If there is no more stop n' go for a while it grabs fine again. But.....if the traffic continues, it becomes exponentially worse, almost to the point where maintaining throttle and at a slight incline causes an over-rev. The rear main seal on the block of the engine is fine, its not leaking or spewing anything out of it. When I replaced the clutch for the second time along w/ the gearbox, I cleaned the flywheel and PP w/ brake cleaner before re-installing them with the new clutch disc (HONDA OEM).
For those who are wondering, I am not the kinda driver who does burnouts or dumps the clutch at the lights, I aint saying I'm light with it, but not thrashing even the partial hell out of it........anybody got any thoughts on whats wrong???

when you replaced the disk and the gearbox....which was more damaged??? you might be able to trace it if you know what actually caused the damage in the first place
well the disc had quite alot of wear on the pp side, and the input shaft on the first gearbox had a tiny wiggle in it
Quick question have you checked the torque of the pressure plate bolts? Did you use lock tight? I had a clutch that I got off of eBay and the pressure plate bolts came loose and I lost the whole clutch
