im currently using the spoon monoblock calipers and to be honest im a bit underwhelmed by them, im using endless ccx pads with them and i don't find them to be a huge improvement over itr brakes with good pads. are there any monoblock users here who feel the same? i would have thought that the larger diameter rotor would make a big difference in stopping power
Who did you ask before you bought them?
They aren't going to shorten your braking distance. The only claims that I believe are better modulation.
Side by side with say some Cobalt Spec VR's (yes, I know they don't make them anymore) and you probably wouldn't even know the difference.

i think you're referring to the twinblocks that use the stock itr rotor. the monoblocks use a bigger sized rotor (300mm)

suppose to just help with brake fade with constant braking, upgrading your fluid and SS lines you will get a bit better pedal feel
Yeah...what were you expecting? They save weight over stock and you do have slightly better pedal feel, but otherwise your stopping distances aren't going to shorten.
They are a $1200 bling upgrade for most folks, to be honest.

More even pad wear. Lighter steering feel and turn in. Reduced weight. With the bigger rotors it would have less overheating and fade issues than a smaller setup, but like others have said on the street I'm not sure exactly what you were expecting. You can only stop so hard before activating ABS, and the stock brakes can do that with street tires so...
Increasing the rotor size at the front will increase front brake torque. That in turn moves your brake bias forward making for a more mild brake setup. The results can an increased stopping distance because the rear tires are made to do less work at the limit of traction. Ooops...
