hey I got a 03 rsx base and I need my srs light off so I took it to the electrician. He said its showing on the side impact sensor. He said the only way he could check is by getting another sensor and trying and seeing if its the sensor. If not, then he said that's the srs computer. He said the computer reads 77970-S6M-A920-M1 but the sensor reads 77970-S6M-A911-M1. Anyone have a problem like that?

I found out that my 03 rsx base impact sensor is 77970-S6M-A920-M1.
The 77970-S6M-A911-M1 are type-s.

Thats weird. Looks like someone has been messing with the system.



I have been looking for a price on the sensors and they run about 20-30 each.
But I found some for $20 for 2 of them. It kinda sounds fishy to me but its ebay

those look like part numbs too me.. safety systems are covered under warranty by law.. take it to the dealer or search for the paperclip method of turning it off

 

yea I called the dealership and they said that they repair the seat belt sensor thing only, but this looks like its the air bag sensor.

yea I have done the paperclip way but srs it still is on

PROBLEM FIXED

I bought the base side impact sensors and the electrician reset the system and I am all good now.

CONCLUSION

type-s sensors will have your srs light come on on a base rsx
