CRX has trouble going into reverse sometimes.
Got an '88 CRX Si, that has trouble with going into reverse. anybody have any ideas why?
It only goes into reverse nicely when you shift to 1st, then into reverse.

I have noticed that with a lot of Honda transmissions, from Integras to Civics. Not sure what causes it or how to fix that problem but have you replaced your transmission fluid at all?
change fluid with pennzoil syncromesh, put it into 1st first and then into reverse seems to help. Sometimes if you let out clutch and then do put it into reverse it helps
If you want the best fluid, put OEM Honda Manual trans fluid in it. Dont put anything else in there. Trust me. Your trans will love you forever.

Where does your clutch grab in relation to the floor? It could not be fully disengaging when you floor the clutch. If it is adjusted correctly, Your synchros are worn. A fluid change like the other people said can help buy you some time. Start looking for a rebuild kit or another tranny either way I'd say.
Last time I had this issue, it was my syncro.
Eventually before I replaced them, It was stuck in reverse.
When I pulled it out, it never went back in.
