Default LSVTEC BUILDs. WHAT YOU GOT?

So I finally was able to get a loan out and under way to help me boost the hp in my lsvtec...so here is what I got going on in this thing.

P72 GSR HEAD
comp cams stage 3
AEM True Time cams
supertech valve springs
oem retainers
lightened valves
minor port n polish

B18A BLOCK
Mahle 12.5:1 pistons
Scat rods
micro polish crank
blueprinted and fully balanced

ARP bolts used throughout
Type R oil pump
AEM Fuel rail and fpr
SKunk2 IM w/ SKunk2 68mm tb
dc 4-1 ceramic header

I was thinking of selling the skunk2 im and tb to piece together a diy itb setup or my buddy was even saying getting a KING MOTORSPORTS TUNE and slap on a Vortech Supercharger w/ Intercooler. said they will do it and have done similar projects.

12.5:1 comp supercharged?? yikes.. scary.. sound like a nice all motor build so far.. look into getting a better header to squeeze out more hp.. and may i ask y u chose to keep the oem retainers with the upgraded valvetrain?

yeah high comp supercharged would be crazy, but a low boost like 6psi just to help me get at those high hp drag ****** while allowing me to go out on the country roads. a better header for sure, hopefully finances to get a bisimoto. oem retainers - i've read that the titanium ones go bad after 30k or so and have seen people chew them up. talked to a local engine builder for local track racing, he suggested keeping the oem's cuz the are hardened steel? (don't quote me on that) but he had the cryogenically enhanced which makes them more durable by like 60%

with a skilled tuner 12.5 comp and boost is not an issue at all...very nice build

King motorsports deff know what they are doing when it comes to all motor setups...

cnc head is top notch but deff not needed to make 200hp

not everyone can afford expensive parts. when you are a college student with no career at the moment it's kind of hard to warrant a high budget build. my goals for N/A would be somewhere in the 210-230whp. think i'd hit that with the build? keeping in mind i should be somewhere around 13.2:1 CR

if your running 13.2 cp the won't you have to use race car gas? like 112 octaine or somethin? Just wondering cause i am building a new motor and was gonna try and get some high cp pistons.

ideally using a much higher octane fuel will allow the the engine to run at full potential. i was thinking of using VQ16? a local gas station sells race gas right out of the pump

yeah there is one around here that does too but it's only 106 i think but there is a race tack where we all run our cars and they have 112 octane. But thanks for the info.
