viper 350 two way alarm
ok so im having trouble wiring up the starter kill relay that came already prewired with the viper 350. The starter kill relay is not wired (ie. yellow, orange , green 16g or 14g and black 16g or 14g) , also the led still blinks when the ignition is started.
** how do i wire up the starter kill relay?
** is the led blinking because i did not wire the yellow wire from the starter kill relay?
thank you in advance!

the yellow from the starter kill relay is the ignition input to the alarm, so it will not function properly. starter kill relay interrupts the starter wire. cut it and install the relay. take a look at the install guide that came with the alarm
i still dont get it. so what do i cut? the guide that came with the alarm didnt have a diagram. only diagrams for domelight, door switch and some other one.
so i cut the black/wht in half (car wire) and wire up the black and green (alarm wires). okay thats what i did and also wire up the yellow (alarm) to black/yellow(car). and car doesnt even start when unarmed.
bad relay maybe, or for some reason the alarm ground when armed is having issues, the orange wire that goes from alarm brain to start kill relay
I'll change up the relay if that doesn't work I'll just take it to an alarm shop. How much will I get charged if I take it to the shop?

Depends on the shop. The could charge you hourly, they could charge you removal and reinstall.
Your relay should have labeled pinouts, pysically written on the relay. I dont remember how DEI pinned their relay during their prewiring, but this is a standard start kill relay pinout:
85 = Orange wire from alarm (ground when armed)
86 = Yellow wire from alarm (Ignition)
87a = should go to the keyside of the starter wire you cut in half
30 = should go to the starter motor side of the starter wire you cut in half
If your relay is wired like this, and you are still having problems, you may have a bad relay, Im not gonna jump right on that boat, but we would have to do some more trouble shooting. I hope you have a DMM...

Okay, just found viper's diagram. The Green wire goes onto your starter wire in the direction of the key. The Black wire from the relay goes on the other end of the starter wire that heads in the direction under the hood to the starter motor.
It doesn't matter what colors go on 85 and 86, just as long as one is your ignition and the other is your ground when armed.
We need to make sure that the ignition is wired properly, If I remember, one of your posts says you didn't even wire in the yellow wire? Thats pretty important.

Ill try to make this as simples as possible:
Your starter wire is black/white. Cut it in half.
On the end of that wire that heads up towards the key, attatch the green wire.
On the end of that wire that heads towards the firewall, attatch the black wire.
The orange wire of the relay, attatches to the orange wire on your alarm.
The yellow wire of that relay, attatches to the black/yellow wire in your car.
Make sure the black wire (smaller gauged wire in your main harness, not the black wire on your relay) on your alarm has a GOOD ground.
Make sure the yellow wire on your alarm is also attatched to the black/yellow wire in your car.

on the starter kill relay it doesnt matter which side green and black goto, and the relay is prewired for yellow and orange to the alarm brain.
so the diagram you gave me is how it's wired up from viper. I also changed relay... No bueno. Just to confirm is it the 12g black w wht line or wht w blk lines?? On the ignition switch harness there's a blk n yellow, wht n blk and solid yellow wire. Im bummed!
black w/ a white stripe is the starter wire. so with all that hooked up, you can't start the car with the key??
Yeah all that hooked up and it won't start. Well Im stumped. I got rid of the blinking led light by hooking up the yellow(alarm) to the ignition(blk n yellow) when engine is started.
Btw is there another blk n wht? The one Im connecting it to is by the kick panel on the left and is mounted and it's connected to a relay.
Lets use the black/white near the solid white you used to get your 12v+ constant from. With 87a and 30 to the black/white, ether end, yellow to black/yellow, and orange to orange from the 350hv, you should be good. If not, tell us what symptoms you're having, so we can help you trouble shoot form there.
It won't start with the relay if connected if I connect all relay wires. There's two yellow share same spade connecter and is connected to the relay and the other i connected to the ignition wire.

i know on my car the ign harness had 2 seperate harnesses. one going to fuse box, another going to a brown plug above the fuse box
