Default header question

ok so i have a 89 crx with a b18a swap. and i bought a DC sport header. and my dad is trying to tell me i have to tune it after i put it on or it will ruin my motor. I never heard of anyone needing to tune there car after just putting a header on but is this true?

NO. you can put them on straight up. if you want to make the best out of performance mods like intake header exhaust. you will want to tune the car to get max performance so its not mandatory. otherwise on a basically stock ls swap you dont have to worry about a tune.
