Stock Height On Coilovers?
whats the average height of coilovers these days? im looking for something that makes the car sit around stock height full raised, I think height will be the determining factor wether to go with a drag suspension or road race EG weekend warrior. Im not worried about comfort or price right now but i don't need anything with dual resiviors reaching the 3k price range either. anybody with coilovers that have their car at around stock height? whats your set-up?
i plan on running a full bodied coilover i know most of them have a shorter shock body so thats what scares me that even full extended i wont be able to get my car out of the garage
yeah i consider mine very bad for a lowered car. id say its bout a 0" to 1 1/2 foot slope over the course of about four feet, and its in a tight ally way so i have to drive in or out at a weird angle. which will either make things better or worse, but with my luck im expecting the worst
Oh, see i cant even go sideways.
I have to go over a side walk, the hit the drive way which is kind of steep, and the garage, which has a lip that is hell for lowerd cars.
2 of my friends have gotten high centerd on it.

honda suspension is really simple in order of price
1. koni str.t / lowering spring $480
2. koni / gc $800
3. koni race / gc $1400
3.1 AMR $varies
4. moton
the more you spend the better it gets. as far as honda goes, i don't see a reason to buy outside of the above. nothing else provides the bang for the buck
I've tried to fight that terminology battle. It has been misused enough to become part of the common vernacular at this point.
But, if we're going to be truly correct, then the answer to "what coilover can get to stock height?" is "the stock suspension", since it consisted of a coil spring over a shock...
(okay, thread derail over)
To answer the OP, Koni / GC on my Integra (essentially the same as an EG Civic) can go to stock height.

Ok so what i got so far is that a/most Slip on Coilovers such a skunk 2's and GC with A STOCK HEIGHT SHOCK such as koni's or tokico's will get me to STOCK HIGHT... makes sence. But what about the full coilover suspension damping systems whatever the correct scientific terminology you wanna call it, that have the SHORTER THAN STOCK SHOCK BODY. Fully raised. how close to stock can you guys get to stock height?

depends entirely on spring length and spring rate. Without knowing that and the dimensions of the damper it's hard to say.
A stiffer, taller spring will be able to get the car higher than a shorter, softer one.

I guess im Gonna research Some Drag Setups and look further into the blox drag coilovers i noticed they sit pretty high. Overall im just not into the slammed look anymore especially the civics that look like vw's. I want mine to Stand tall and proud
