H22A1 Help, Rebuilding Long Block
I recently purchased a motor from a friend, took it apart COMPLETELY, and decided to have Speedfactory get me all new internals, seals, ect.. and i was gonna have them re-assemble it but unfortunately today i was laid off and dont have the money to do so. now im wondering what the difficult parts of putting this back together. me and my friends know just the basics about motors and are gonna have to be careful because i dont want to do something wrong and be out of a motor. if anyone has or knows a guide of how to take apart/ reassemble an H22A1 i would greatly appreciate it. i was gonna use a hanes but i feel like it doesnt have everything and i dont want to miss something and start the motor and throw a rod lol. i appreciate you guys helping me out in this hard time, and hopefully i get my job back.
Specs:
H22A1
All new seals, gaskets, rings, springs, retainers.
need a new oil pump and alternator if anyone has one..
my offers are 75 - oil pump shipped
and 30 for the alternator shipped.
once again thanks guys

If you dont have already i would recommend getting yourself a copy

rings aren't that hard, just make sure you clock them and gap them right. You'll need a piston ring compressor, $20 tops. Is your block honed? If it is you're ready to put everything back. Make sure you don't nick the journals on your crank, I did that on my rebuild and had to use another one.
Torque everything with a good torque wrench, I just used online guides I searched and my motors still running great 2 years later

doesnt need to be honed. the walls are flawless and i cant get it honed or bored anywhere around here because its an FRM motor. are the helms you buy books or cd? cus i could really use the book. and how do you gap rings?..
