Default Which would be better?

Ok so I have a B18 that I want to turbo and I have a question. I have been told that putting a B20 intake on it would be the best for a turbo. But I have also heard that putting a B16 head on the B18 block gives you more compression. So would it be better to put the B16 head on the block and turbo it or would it be better to leave the B18 head and go with the B20 intake?

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you'd want lower compression going turbo, unless you're going to higher compression for a quicker spool time. Its my understanding that the tune needs to be done very well for a high comp+turbo setup though.

b20 intake manifolds are rediculously huge theres no way your putting that on im pretty sure it will hit your firewall and stick up a foot out the hood

you wont be able to use a b20 intake manifold if you plan on closing your hood, it sticks up too high and if you do some research you will find out that a b18b1 Ls intake manifold is ideal for any non vtec b-series unless you decide to go aftermarket. As far as compression goes ive seen plenty of gsr/b16/ls-vtec/b20-vtec high compression turbo setups and it is possible, but as stated before it'll take alot of time, tuning, and money to get it just right. Before you do anything turbo on a honda please do some research especially if you dont know much about the subject.
