Default Can I program my clifford remote to my viper alarm? (PLEASE LOOK/READ!)

Hey guys,

I have a viper alarm that came with my car when i purchased it.... It had a python 2 way remote but since i have gotten the car it hasnt worked... When i put a battery in the original python that came with the car it would just get hot and not work..... So my question is will a clifford 2-way remote be compatible with my viper alarm?? If so can someone give me a proper way of programing it manually because i have clifford that my friend isnt using because his came with 2 ....

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

to be honest, I've never tried, but I wouldn't be surprised if it worked, I mean, they prob use the same technology for their antenna tx and rx. (we're assuming they are equal models in btwn the brands, a remote that works on a viper 350hv will not work on a viper 5902). Just give it a shot, it takes two seconds to program.

Open door
Turn ignition on
press and release valet button
Press valet once more, and hold it
hit lock button on remote
turn off ignition.... then you're done.

Give it a shot, let us know how it goes.

The only experience I have with this, is Ive programmed a viper replacement remote to an avital remote start. Worked just fine.

if they are all DEI alarms, then you should have an issue. as long as the antenna frequency is the same. i've seen a python LCD 2 way program to it's clifford and viper counterpart
