camber bolts question/comparison
I went out last saturday to the local college auto class to get an alignment done free by my friend. It turned out that I needed a camber bolt kit. Went and bought the kit to find that the bolt looked way too small it was a 14mm bolt with strange washers. The stock bolt was 21mm so I just returned the kit. after doing a bit more research I think I may have had the correct camber bolt.
I would like to finalize my camber bolt investigation :-P I have looked on the web for comparison pics have not found any.
I would like to know if replacing a 21mm stock strut bolt with a 14mm cambolt is standard procedure when using cambolts.
any advice/thoughts or answers are greatly appreciated!

Forget about the kit and just get the toe corrected.

OP, post up the MM&Y of the car, and why you're trying to adjust the camber.
its a 04 chrysler pacifica :-P the camber is off in the front by 1 deg. I just changed the front shocks a week ago.
Just want to know whats up with camber bolts, are they generally smaller than the stock strut bolt?
thanks again!

I think most of us here would need to at least see a picture of the suspension, and where the crash bolt goes, before we could really answer anything.
You're asking Honda tech a question about a Chrysler. Can't expect much knowledge from us without providing all the information we would have for a car we're already familiar with.
Why is the camber off, and how are you defining "off"?

they are the camber bolts with the lobe like a camshaft has. Not the ones with the ovular washer.
Pretty straight forward here I have just never dealt with camber bolts before so I do not know.
heres a link finally one with an answer to my question

You're asking about a car with McPherson struts, and yes eccentric camber-adjusting bolts for Mac struts will be smaller than stock bolts in order for the knuckle to have room to move and have the holes not align exactly with the holes on the strut.
What you should be asking is WHY does it have -1 deg. camber in the first place? I'm guessing that is not within spec, and if the suspension has not been modified, that means there are other problems. Car has been wrecked or hit a curb, etc. I'm guessing to throw off the camber like that, which means damaged suspension components. You need to replace the damaged components rather than using a "band-aid" solution like adjustable camber bolts.
