Catch tank maybe, but fuel cell NO. In all reality, you should use a fully open corner joint for both.

i always do fully open when constructing boxes (especially fuel cells), and if im lazy and dont feel like tacking it all up nice and perfect ill run a carbide down the the corners to turn them from kinda closed to kinda open if u know what i mean.

Yeah, prepping a v-groove almost. Totally true.Fit-up isn't always perfect. On thicker ones I run a root and the cap also. Fusion is the #1 priority. Running a root with a smaller rod allows a good view of this, then add the needed strength with a nice cap.

Yeah. On an open corner joint on 1/8", I'll do a 1/16" root pass, then finish with 3/32".
