92-95 civic 4dr,my windsheild wont defrost, heat barely works
i woke up this morning around 6 am.started the car at 6.25am...left at 6.45 am and my heat was nt hot enough and my right side of the windshield was semi clear..what can do
after 20 mins, i would think even with an open thermostat that it would still get hot in there.
more info needed:
-is there air blowing through the vents? if no, your blower motor is shot
-is it at all kinda warm? if no, i would say your heater core based on the info you gave and assuming there is no air in the coolant lines and coolant is at the correct level.
if yes, check your coolant.
-what does your temp gauge say? if it says normal operating temp, heater core.
if any of my info is incorrect, please lemme know. im no pro, just trying to help

I have a similar problem with my 94 dx... new aluminum 2 row radiator and fresh coolant. all new hoses and blower works. my car doesn't run hot and comes to normal operating temp in about 7 or 8 mins... heat never really gets past luke warm.. heater core ordered and will be here on tuesday.

Feel the heater hoses going into the heater core from the engine bay for the temps. On the inlet, feel the hose before and after the heater valve. If in is hot and out is cold your looking at a heater core problem. If neither are warm/hot, check thermostat/hoses. If before the heater valve is hot and after is not, check the cable that opens and closes and check for a broken lever. If questionable have someone turn the heater from hot to cold and watch it. If no movement, check the under dash cable for correct operation.
Just some stuff to check along with others' comments.
Also if inlet is hot and outlet is cold, can remove both hoses from the firewall and use a hose to flush it out. flush it both directions and return the hoses, top off and bleed the coolant and retest. Sometimes flushing it backwards works wonders. I know it has for me once haha. Also easy and doesn't take too long compared to switching the heater core itself.
