Q's about rebuildn a b18 gsr motor...
got a 94' gsr with ls transmission. also have a drag gen3 t3/t4 turbo in it. to maintain my engine i know i have to rebuild it. question is: what kind of pistons (aftermarket or factory brand and or rods, and rings should i get? somethin that's not too expensive yet with a best results. i have civic t-r cam for my intake so...

egale h-beam rods $360, pistons $450 averege. bore at least .5 mm over. and USE NEW EVERYTHING. this includes all berrings and gaskets.

OH great,, SRP is not a bad piston.. IT is mad by JE and is the same piston as the upper model. Only real difference is that the SRP's are stocked shelf items.Go to JE's website for more info on these pistons. I have SRP's and I have no complaints with them at all.

srp pistons are made of a different material than the JE eventhough they are both made by JE. get JE, i have them and they are just fine.
