Default Axle seal?

My car is leaking on the tranny side and i have a feeling that it is the axle seal.. but i heard if you can move the axle around like up or down then it could be the differential. I already have some bad bearings in my tranny btw. I dont know if that helps

welll the seal is what prevents the oil from leaking. sooo i assume its the cause. buuut if the diff bearings are worn and the axle moves a bit then that could cause the seal to wear out faster

well when i jacked my car up, i pushed the axle up on accident because i was wiping the tranny down. i should probably check if it moves around while its on the ground huh? or would there be no difference?

But if i buy a used one, i never know if its gonna end up like the tranny i have now. If i get a new one, then i wont have to worry about much.
