Icon2 02 RSX S mis-fire problem

Hey guys, have been a long time fan but have never posted.

I have an 02 RSX S, I got the flashing CEL, and the code read mis-fire, I replaced the plugs nothing, replaced the ignition coils nothing, replaced the injectors (they were pretty mucked up) STILL nothing.

I am at my wits end, and have no idea what the issue could be...

Has anyone ever run into this? Any idea's or sugestions?

What is the actual code number?

I assume being a missfire something like p0300 or something of that line

I am not sure of the actual code, I had the guy at AutoZone run it, but I took it into Acura and they said that it was the injectors, they said that the valves and stuff looked fine.

Could it be the MAP sensor?

Map sensor is a possibility.

I was wondering, have done a ton of searches, and saw one about the timing chain jumping a tooth...

yep your tensioner more than likely went bad.. you could have had low oil pressure for a sec and it skipped

misfires can be caused by many things...

what you want is the OBDII code and the freeze frame data. the code will tell you whether the misfire is cylinder specific or random. the freeze frame data will tell you even more info but it takes some interpretation to make use of the info. post up the freeze frame data!
