Icon2 91 crx si not starting, possible fuel issue

I'm trying to get my 91 crx to start, right now it will turn over but nothing else. It has been sitting for close to a year. I've checked for spark on all 4 cylinders and that's not the problem.. So, I'm thinking it's probably a fuel issue. I replaced the filter and I can hear the relay click on, so I don't think those are the problems.. I'm thinking its either a clogged line or bad pump but I'm not sure how to check for those. If anyone could help me out or if you have another idea, I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance

I am going through the same thing man. Car has been sitting for about a year also, fuel pump was bad switched it out. Now I am going to drain tank. I was getting power to the pump connector with it unplugged, but when I plugged it up I lost voltage.

Something similar happened to me as well only difference is I was driving when all of a sudden it just died. It sounds like the fuel pump is clogged.

Try spraying some starting fluid in the intake while the car is being cranked and if it starts and runs on that then it is most likely a fuel issue.Check for voltage at the pump conector check to see if you can hear the pump run,if not sometimes a few taps on the fuel tank with a hammer will get the pump running for a bit.

the fuel pump whines when you put the key on III. loosen the relief screw on top of the filter and crank it and see if fuel comes out...

You said that you replaced the fuel filter, when I did I had a similar problem because I tried to cheap out and reuse washers(no no) was leaking fuel from filter not geting the the rail all I did was got new washers from the dealership and fixed it.

You can remove the line from your throttle body and turn the key on without starting it and if the fuel pump is working then it will pump.

I did that to empty a gas tank ... I hooked my battery charger up to my battery and used a garden hose to flow the gas into a couple old 1 gallon window washer fluid containers.. fuel was good enough for the lawn mower but had been sitting a long time.

You definitely got to catch the fuel coming out though because it pumps pretty good ... and some plastic melts so be careful what you use to catch it. maybe a soda bottle but make sure it wont melt first

If you get gas then its probably the spark
A timing light can check if your plug wires are getting juice.

DO NOT PULL YOUR CAP OFF AND CRANK THE ENGINE!
even just a couple times can fry the coil or the ignitor
then you are SCREWED heheh

If you take the cap off you can use a volt meter to test your ignitor and coil but I tell you from experience those numbers can be wrong ... They can test good and still be bad when they are actually operating.. you know unless there is a total no connection through the coil but usually wires overlap you get shorts when they fry....

replace the coil first its easier
screws are a bitch to get out make sure the screwdriver tip fits exactly
use a impact driver to hammer the screws loose ... they work with a subtle tap

Other then that there are a lot of possible things that could be not quite working...

GOOD LUCK!
