Default STD vs. SI Axles

I was wondering if axles from an SI 5 speed would work on an STD 4 speed transmission. I need to replace an axle on my std and the autoparts store i work at lists two different parts for 5 speed and 4 speed. but will the 5 speed one work because I plan on upgrading to 5 speed soon. thanks

the inner side of all d series axles are the same the input shaft is different on jdm zc tranny thats it, you can use your 4 speed axles you can use automatic axles it doesnt matter as long as it fits your hub it will fit your tranny, and if you get a jdm zc tranny make sure you have the right clutch before you put it in
